  1. A QR Code is a 2-dimensional “quick response” bar code that contains a set of data that can be decoded by QR Readers, which are available to Smartphones. If you have a smartphone, simply take a picture of QR code with the phone’s camera and you have access to the embedded information.
  2. Including a QR Code on the back on your business card helps employers link you to a page.
  3. You have to unique and set apart yourself from the rest.
  4. The most difficult hurdle to overcome, is getting noticed.
  5. Including your QR code helps grab employer’s attention.

  1. I-Comm agency is a student-operated advertising and public relations agency based out of BYU-Idaho’s communication department.
  2. Presentation and making your website user friendly is extremely important.
  3. There are many different things you can do to become part of I-Comm.
  4. I-Comm allows you to gain work experience that you can’t get in the classroom.
  5. I-Comm allows students to work with real clients and gives them opportunities to network and gain experience.

  2. Keep your best work as a student as it will pay off to showcase it in the future.
  3. Always keep a well organized portfolio displaying your best work.
  4. BYU-Idaho gives hardworking students many opportunities to showcase their work, including selecting 20 people to go to Photoshop World expo.
  5. Always be prepared to share your work.

  1. Prepare for job specific questions as well as general questions.
  2. There are websites designed to give you interview scenarios and help you nail an interview.
  3. C language is a type of interview that might happen. There is a website to help you learn C language.
  4. One of the goals of being a job candidate is to impress interviews due to your skills, educational background and job experience.
  5. You need to know yourself. Write down a list of questions and answer them on paper.

  2. There is a world clock meeting planner that helps you find best time across time zones to know when contacting each other is most convenient for both parties.

  4. Be aware of cultural differences! Travel around the world so you can be more cultural rounded and help various clients from throughout the world.

  5. Downloading microsoft office is easy. You can download it straight to your computer without ever having to buy a CD.
